10-23-06 Congratulations to Michael Browning and Crew/41 Willy’s
What a way to
finish off the year winning the two biggest races in Arkansas and
setting a record at each track. I know it wasn’t easy and there is a lot
of hard work that goes into getting one of these cars figured out so
again please join me in congratulating a great bunch of guys Michael
Browning, Jason Maddox, Paul Maddox and Charles Maddox.
10-23-06 Harry Crane/67 Camaro
We have not
seen Harry’s 67 Camaro this year as he has been having some engine work
done and the inside scoop is Harry is selling his Camaro and He and
Buster Smith are going to team up and put Harry’s Nitrous motor in
Buster’s late model Firebird, this should prove to be a lethal
combination.
10-21-06 Centerville Street Shoot Out
On very
tricky track conditions The Reaper-Michael Browning qualify’s number
one, claims another victory and sets another track record at 4.51 at
only 140 (an easy pass) and in the process he sends a few more souls to
the depths. Charlie Porter in Phil Phillips wagon was very impressive as
they are continually improving and running faster with each outing and
run a 4.78 only to succumb to an electrical problem in the semi-final. A
car I had not seen before was Scott and Jared Biggs 69 Camaro which is very
beautiful and run a 5.14 on just motor, fell to a red light and brake
issue’s in the Qtr finals and as I understand they are going to be
putting this car on the bottle and coming back next year ready to go to
war.
10-16-06 Randy Hipp/63 Corvette
After pushing out a head gasket during qualifying at the last Prescott
Outlaw Shootout Randy is installing a new aluminum block power plant in
the 63 Corvette and hopes to be doing some testing before year end.
10-15-06 Michael Browning/41 Willy’s
Sets a record and has more horsepower on the way for next year. It
appears Michael has just about got his new car figured out, however,
obviously the “Reaper” (from the artwork on the front of the beautiful
Willy’s) is not satisfied yet, as a new Hemi is coming in to replace the
BBC as the power plant. So he will be coming to collect some more souls
next year.
10-15-06 Ross and Calvin Graves
It sounds as
if we have another Super Outlaw contender coming into the fray next
year, as the Graves are putting together all the pieces now to bring a
top notch Super Outlaw car out next year. As I understand it will be a
nitrous sprayed power plant.
10-14-06 Prescott Outlaws Shoot Out
Michael Browning and the 41 Willy’s make a major move and not only
qualify number one but go on to win the race and win the points and
prize for the year and establish a new Track Record in the process with
an impressive 4.39 at 163 mph. Coming into the race the points leader in
Super Outlaw was James Medley but he was unable to make the final race.
Larry Boardman and Randy Hipp both had mechanical issues during
qualifying and were unable to compete. This left Michael Browning, Joe
Mumma, Charlie Porter and Bobby Kruck to duke it out.
10-7-06
Outlaw Madness in Salisaw Ok.
Michael Browning and the Willy’s travel to Oklahoma to show an Arkansas
presence. They run into some tricky track conditions but represent very
well by running very quick despite only making less than half track
passes and also a sub1.000, 60ft.
07-29-06 Prescott
Outlaw Shootout (Sorry can’t remember a lot about this race)
Heath Harvey
from Texas wins the race and runs low et for the race at 4.43. Randy
Hipp-Qualify’s number one with 4.44 @ 163 but has severe tire shake in
second qualifying pass and breaks wheelie bars and attempted to stage
the car and leave easy to no avail as the car attempted to stand up
against James Medley in the first round.
